TE 65 Multiplex Sand/Wheel Abrasion Tester

The TE 65 Multiplex Sand/Wheel Abrasion Tester is designed to perform tests according to the conditions described in the following methods:

ASTM G65 , ASTM G105 , ASTM B611

Technical Specifications

  • Test Types: ASTM G65, ASTM G105, ASTM B611
  • Wheel Speed: 10 to 350 rpm
  • Wheel Types: 6.65″ steel wheel as per ASTM B611
  • 9″ rubber wheel as per ASTM G65
  • Load: 20 to 350 N

If you want to have further information or would like to submit a demo test, please contact us.

TE 66 Micro-Scale Abrasion Tester

The TE 66 Micro-Scale Abrasion Tester is used to determine the wear coefficient of hard and soft coatings and monolithic materials by abrasive wear in a ball on plate contact configuration. The machine may also be used as a crater-generating tool on coated surfaces for coating thickness determination.

Technical Specifications

  • Ball Speed Range: 30 to 150 rpm
  • Load Range: 0.05 to 5 N
  • Ball Diameter: 25 mm
  • Pump Feed Rate: up to 60 ml/hour

TE 69 Load Scanner - 2020

The TE 69 Load Scanner is based on modified version of a universal test instrument for tribological evaluation developed by Professors Sture Hogmark and Staffan Jacobson at Uppsala University, Department of Materials Science, Sweden. The key difference between the TE 69 and the original Uppsala design is that in the latter, motion is applied to only one sample, whereas in the TE 69, both samples are indexed, with the result that the applied load varies linearly with displacement.

Technical Specifications

  • Contact Geometry: Crossed Cylinder on Cylinder
  • Crossed Flat on Flat
  • Pin on Plate
  • Indenter on Plate
  • Test Modes: Load Scanner Mode with Crossed Rod Specimens
  • Constant Load Mode with Crossed Rod Specimens
  • Pin on Plate Mode with Constant Load
  • Pin on Plate Scratch Test Mode with Ramped Load
  • Maximum Load: 2000 N

TE 75 Rubber Friction Test Test Machine

The TE75 Rubber Friction Test Machine offers the ability to investigate fully the frictional behaviour of rubbery materials both in dry and lubricated environments. It can also be used to study the friction of cosmetic products by using a suitable model for human skin.

In rubber the friction force depends strongly on the real contact area between the rubber and counter surface, the interfacial shear strength and the deformation properties of the rubber.

Technical Specifications

  • Contact Configurations: Ball on Plate
  • Plate on Plate
  • Plate on Hemisphere
  • Customised specimens possible
  • Normal Load: 0.1 to 50 N
  • Friction Force Range: 0 to 50 N
  • Temperature Range: ambient to 100°C

TE 89 Hip & Knee Joint Friction Simulator

TE 89 HIP & KNEE JOINT FRICTION SIMULATOR comprises two support systems for the hip and knee joint components. Hip joints are inverted from their natural position. The acetabular cup or tibial plate component is mounted in a low friction trunnion mounted reservoir carried in a loading frame. The femoral component (either a taper mounted ball or special fixed axis knee piece) is mounted on the underside of a rigid cross-beam that is oscillated through an adjustable pre-set angle. A jig is provided to ensure that the femoral component is oscillated about its centre and is aligned with the lower test piece.

Technical Specifications

  • Load Range: 200 to 2,500 N
  • Load Sensor: piezo-electric transducer
  • highest sensitivity: 10 mN
  • highest range: 7,500 N
  • highest range: 500 N
  • Maximum Knee Size: 85 mm wide

DN 33 Draw Strip/Draw Bead Tester

The DN 33 Draw Strip/Draw Bead Tester comprises a long stroke electro mechanical ball screw actuator mounted horizontally on a steel bed plate in line with a tooling fixture. The actuator has an integral LVDT for displacement measurement and is controlled by means of a standard a.c. vector drive with encoder feedback. The tooling fixture comprises two articulated arms. The arms are connected to a fixed point on the machine bed-plate by means of a force transducer, in such a way as to measure the combined drawing force on the arms. The clamping force on the draw tool is by means of a hydraulic cylinder with force transducer feedback.

Technical Specifications

  • Drawing Speed: 200 to 2,000mm/min
  • Speed Resolution: +/- 1% of maximum speed
  • Specimen Force: 25 kN maximum
  • Drawing Force: 20 kN maximum
